Vision
We are the go-to-clinic in Implantology and Prosthodontics. We solve even the most complex cases predictably and sustainably.
But we have only two hands each, so we can treat a limited number of patients by ourselves
Thus we want to share our experience, knowledge and treatment philosophy with colleagues. We want to help dentists excel. We strive to be the go-to continued education provider to be able to raise everyone’s game for the good of the patients!
Suojärvi & Pallonen Academy aims to improve the quality of implantology by providing courses that are evidence-based, organized entities that offer concrete examples, techniques and practices that everyone working with implantology can use in their daily practice. We are not researchers working in a laboratory setting, we are clinicians who treat these situations everyday in our own practice. We think we can genuinely give our students better tools to provide better quality of care for their patients.
Mission
Suojärvi & Pallonen Academy provides high-quality, practical, evidence-based and up-to-date courses and lectures for dental professionals, focusing on surgical and prosthetic sides of implantology. Our mission is to enhance the professional skills of dentists and equip them with the knowledge and expertise they can immediately apply in their daily practice, thereby improving patient well-being and quality of care.
Founding Story
Suojärvi Pallonen Academy is an educational organization founded by Timo Suojärvi and Ilkka Pallonen. Ilkka and Timo have a long history as lecturers and trainers at their respective institutions. In addition, they have served on the boards of several educational organizations and through their contacts, have been involved in enabling the training events of several top international lecturers in Finland.
Through the clinical collaboration, these gentlemen came up with the idea of educational collaboration. Joint lectures began in the form of individual lectures and subscription courses. The positive feedback received from these lectures and courses and the shared motivation to improve the quality of care provided the momentum to establish a joint educational organization.
When we were together on a 4-day course at the Urban Regeneration Institute, Timo drew the words: Never settle, Always aim higher in the lecture notebook. We are both on this path. For our part, we are not satisfied with what we can do now, we always want to be better by learning and improving our skills. At the same time, we want to share with others what we have already learned and generally raise the level of care in Finland and internationally.
For both of us, the cornerstones of clinical work are the quality of treatment, predictability and an approach based on scientific evidence. We believe that we have a lot of concrete things to give to clinicians.
